The pilot
What does the pilot cost?
Nothing. It is free for a few months and we take no card details. We will publish a price before the pilot ends, and you are under no obligation to carry on.
What do you want in return?
Honest feedback and a 15-minute check-in each week, and that you use it for real work. That is all.
Do I have to sign something?
You will get written pilot terms before anything starts, so everyone knows what has been agreed.
Can I leave?
Yes, at any time. There is no lock-in. Your data is yours, and if you leave we will return it to you and delete ours on request.
How many firms are you taking?
A small number, around four. We choose firms that are not direct competitors of Green Palm, and we are looking for a mix of sizes and ways of working.
Who will I deal with?
A named person, not a call centre. We will agree how quickly we respond with you at the start.
What will it cost afterwards?
We have not set the price yet. When we do it will be published and the same for everyone.
Using it
Who is it for?
Small UK landscaping and grounds-maintenance firms of roughly 3 to 25 staff, doing maintenance rounds, landscaping projects or both.
Does it work without phone signal?
Yes for the crew's daily work. Today's jobs can be read offline, and clock-ins, checklists, notes, photos, receipts and spray records are saved on the phone and sent when it is back online. The app has to be open to send them. Data waiting on the phone is not encrypted.
Is it an app store app?
No. It is a web app that installs on the home screen from the browser, so there is nothing to download from an app store.
Do I need QuickBooks?
No. If you use QuickBooks Online, the Hub can import your customers from it and raise invoices from finished work. If you do not, the rest works without it.
Can I move my spreadsheets across?
We will help you get your staff, customers and rates in. Tell us what you have when you apply.
What is missing?
A customer portal, online payment collection, multi-company accounts and an app store app. They are not built.
Your data and security
Where is my data kept?
The Hub runs on Railway, a cloud host, with its database in an EU region and regular point-in-time backups. Data is processed in line with UK GDPR. Details, including the services we use to run it, are available on request.
Who can see my data?
Each person signs in with their own login and sees only what their role allows: admin, office, supervisor or crew. Crew see their own jobs, not the whole firm's customers. Passwords are stored hashed and connections use HTTPS.
Will other firms see my data?
No. Your firm's data is kept apart from every other firm's.
Is it GDPR compliant?
We process personal data in line with UK GDPR, and the pilot paperwork covers the data protection side. Ask us on the call and we will go through it.
What does the application form collect?
Your business name, your name, email, phone, team size and what you want to fix, only to reply to you. See the privacy page.
